This is a short archive of older stuff I did way, way back.
Directr
Directr is an approach to dynamic content based on ‘taglets’, media containers that dynamically acquire content related to the textual and visual context of the web page or document wherein they are placed. The idea was to leverage User Generated Content in an automated manner in documents (eg., as clipart in presentation slides) via some semantic matching (Tags for the document’s text generated via Yahoo Term Extractor <-> Tags assigned to pictures uploaded on Flickr). This one was partly complete when I had to move to Virginia Tech, and I haven’t been able to find the time to get it done since. If interested, do let me know.
Dyna 3D
Dyna 3D was amongst the first few attempts at 3D in Flash, driven by my fascination with 3D on the web at the time. While the first version concentrated on leveraging the Macromedia Flash platform for a low size (<2kB download) 3D Engine; the 1.1 version supported a 3D node-link navigational engine.
When the draw API of Actionscript released, I started out with dyna3D v2 that had surface rendering and 3D classes, but lost interest midway; mostly because people came up with alternatives for surface 3D engines, and I realized that surface engines were just too heavy to be any useful as navigation elements. If you are in any way interested in the project, you can contact me for the partial sources.

GTGrid
A 40-node homogenous computational Grid, GTGRID used the Sun Grid Engine over Red Hat Linux OS. Sun Grid Engine doesn’t have (More accurately, didn’t have) a web based or services interface for Linux deployments as such. While working on GTGRID, I developed a web-based user and administrative interface that provided for manual job submission and administration. These were also exposed as web services. This was the first such documented web interface to the engine over Linux systems.
Plotter 3D
A package for mechanical design comprising of several MATLAB 5 extentions and independent tools. Plotter3D has a specifically designed module for rendering and editing 3D line and surface plots. Developed exclusively for Design Research Labs at IIT Delhi.
